BRIEF INTRODUCTION to IWNST – 2013 The present Indo-US International workshop is being organized under the auspices of National Institute of Science & Technology and US Navy ONR Global. The workshop aims at bringing together multidisciplinary scientists to focus on the upcoming areas of Nanosensor Science and Technology and to understand fundamental issues of nanosensors. The goal is to foster a bridge across various disciplines to the growth of nanosensors by sharing the ideas, expertise and to promote new collaborative joint projects between Indian and USA scientists as well as scientists from other countries. Exploration of Nanosensor Science and Technology is expected to enrich our fundamental understanding and application of nanosensor technology specifically to industry, defence, medical, and on the whole the well being of the society.
